Jane has been singing in one form or another
from an early age. A member of her primary school choir, Jane was
often the only child who was capable of singing on her
own.
Consequently starring roles followed in school plays reaching the
dizzying heights of 'The Narrator' in Joseph and his Amazing
Technicolour Dreamcoat (she hasn’t stopped 'narrating' since! Ed)
and Pontius Pilot in the musical version of the crucifixion of
Christ!
She is capable of playing the guitar,
saxophone, bit of piano and the violin, but the dedication and
practice involved to actually get beyond passable has always held
her back
(singing
doesn't require as much effort) - she's also an average tambourine
player. Her influences are too numerous (and some too embarrassing)
to mention, but she has great admiration for the vocal talents and
musical stylings of Muse, Jet, The Zutons and Dave Grohl.
As the only non-male of the group, Jane's
ambition is to achieve more facial hair (which may have helped with
the Pontius Pilot role!) and a substantial beer gut to help with
the
packing up of everyone else's kit!
