You may or may not have noticed, but our 13 June gig at The Two Brewers has been moved to Saturday 20 June.  While a simple date change doesn’t normally warrant a news update, this is a special date.

 

The Two Brewers is hosting its annual fundraiser for Cancer Research UK (http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/breastcancer) and we’ve been asked to perform.  Naturally, we were only too happy to donate our services for the evening!

 

The theme for the night is WEAR PINK, which we hope is self explanatory!  There will be various opportunities for you to put your hands in your pockets and contribute; we’ve even come up with a little scheme of our own to hopefully swell the coffers that Roger (aka the original pub landlord) doesn’t know about!!! 

 

Jane may well get the old pins out for the occasion, but as they’re sadly very white indeed they won’t count toward the pink quota.  And for those of you hoping to get away with claiming pink under garments… inspections will be mandatory!

 

Breast cancer affects so many people these days and it’s a cause particularly close to the hearts of some of The Maniacs.  The Two Brewers team has increased the amount of money raised year on year and we want to help smash last year’s figure and set an extremely high target for 2010.

 

So, please, please, please, please, PLEASE… put the date in your diary.  We’ll supply the music (and no doubt more than a laugh or two along the way!) and all we ask is that you bring yourselves and whatever you can spare to help us raise some money in the fight against breast cancer.

 

Oh and don’t forget… WEAR PINK!!!
