Well, it's taken us just over a week to
recover from Colin's fantastic 50th birthday bash in Fetcham. Not
even the apocalyptic weather (as forecast by Jane - oh, and the
BBC!) could dampen the spirits of the band, our thoughtful hosts and
their ready-to-party guests. The marquee admirably withstood the
rain, wind and pounding feet on the dance floor and the vigorous
activity (and hot air from the band!) soon warmed up the space!
We have to say a massive thanks to Colin and Annie for looking after
us so well; our green room for the night (the lovely dining room)
and the outstanding hospitality we enjoyed (the delicious Cottage
Pie must get a mention!) now mark the standard against which all
other functions will be measured!
