A huge thanks to everyone who managed to turn out for our gig at The Two Brewers last Saturday (11 October) in what turned out to be a rather foggy Hadlow village!  The highly vocal encouragement (at least we think it was encouragement!) throughout the gig and fantastic dancing almost from the off made it a pleasure for us to perform.

In particular it was lovely to see our hosts from their birthday event in September, Greta May (the birthday girl!) and Alan and some of their guests from the function – we must’ve done something right on the night (see our website Feedback or MySpace Maniacal feedback blog ) – as well as Marco’s Surrey posse, who kept an unnerving critical musical eye on us for the evening.  We were also extremely relieved that Emlyn (on bass!) managed to make it with his usual flair for the theatrics, about five minutes before we were due to go on – however, to be fair (although we hate to be!) his delay was a result of the nightmare that was the anti-clockwise stretch of the M25 on Saturday night.

As ever, Roger’s rousing rendition of House of the Rising Sun was one of the band’s highlights of the evening… particularly for Jane, as basically she’s lazy and it was a chance for her to sit back and watch someone else take centre stage!

We’ll be back at The Two Brewers for the last time this year on Saturday 20 December.
