Our gigs at The Two Brewers
are always fun for us as we get the opportunity to play more of the
stuff we like (new and old) and, not to be big-headed, but everyone
always seems to have a really good time. Because of this, we're always
able to post a 'thanks for another great night' review the next day...
which might get a bit tiresome for you to read, but thanks
must be given where they are due and we are always really
glad when people have as good a time at our open gigs as we do.
So, what can we possibly say that's new after last night's festivities?
Not much except, a MASSIVE thank you to everyone at The Two Brewers last
night for making it such a fantastic do - possibly our best night there
EVER! It's so nice for us to start recognising so many faces now (most
of them smiling!)... it's only taken us a couple of years - ;o) -
especially as this is the only pub gig we play.
We had no idea when we turned up that it was going to be a St Pat's
night celebration, Roger sprang that on us when we arrived - and
obviously this must've gone some way to accounting for the large
headcount (and large hat count - ed.) and general giddy mood! Luckily
we managed to avoid the enormous Guinness hats Roger was trying to force
upon us. Had we known, you might have been treated (NOT!) to a rousing
chorus of The Irish Rover or Danny Boy!!!
The only thing to detract from the evening was the lack of Marco!
(Let's try to keep how good the night was just between us!). We had a
hard time convincing him that his recuperation was more important than
the gig - that's dedication for you. Even more thanks to everyone who
took the time to tell us how much you missed him and his sax (as did
we!) and for your well wishes for him and a speedy recovery - we'll be
sure to pass these along.
We're back at The Two Brewers on Saturday 13 June - which is St Anthony
of Padua Day (thanks to a quick Google search) - maybe Roger can come up
with a new theme for this to drag you all back in again - hopefully
we'll see you then!
(PS: Feel free to post a comment or two, positive of course(!), on our
Facebook or MySpace pages, if you feel so inclined - you're all very
quiet and it would be nice to hear from you!)
